We are looking for smart, curious and motivated people. Together we accelerate the energy transition towards a more sustainable future by making the energy
sector smarter. Our start-up builds scalable software solutions (as a service) for our customers. If you have a passion for data science (AI, machine learning,
big data technologies & analytics), software development or clean-tech and energy (electricity, smart grids, demand
response), then we might have an awesome job for you. Come and join us at our clean-tech start-up and be part of a company that accelerates the energy
The energy transition is one of the biggest challenges of the present moment. Dexter is enabling this transition by working with modern technologies, and I am excited to be part of
- Pim, Machine Learning engineer
I started Dexter because I saw many opportunities to improve the energy sector by the use of state-of-the-art ML technologies.
- Luuk, Co-Founder
My work as software engineer is extremely versatile. Every week I get to work on new projects ranging from data science to Machine Learning and software development.
- Elias, ML software engineer
Little did I know, I was getting into a very productive and unique startup culture ... I can reach to anyone about doubts anytime!!!
- Shreyas, Machine Learning intern
The energy transition makes the electricity system more complex (unplannable renewable energy production, new consumption patterns like EV charging). To cope with this complexity, we provide
energy companies with accurate forecasting of electricity production and consumption. Our solution is cloud-based and uses state-of-the-art machine learning technologies.
The following positions are available at this time:
We improve and deploy our machine learning pipelines daily. As software developer you will help us build, maintain and scale these pipelines. If you are self-sufficient and have some
experience in software engineering, then this job might be for you.
Machine Learning Engineer
Our first modules have gone live, but now we need to build new blocks to forecast new energy flows. As a Machine Learning Engineer you will build new forecasting algorithms. If you are
self-sufficient and have some experience in time-series forecasting, then this job is for you.
Lead ML software engineer
We have found our customers' pain, developed a prototype solution and sold it. For the next step we need a skilled software engineer with some ML affinity that helps us build robust
production code. If you are self-sufficient and have some experience in writing production code, then this the job for you.
Machine Learning intern
We are constantly forecasting different time series in the energy domain. Sometimes, they are good enough, often they can be better. We are looking for interns who help us improve our
forecasts and optimization of asset control policies.
Our software is used at large energy consumers, where assets are optimally controlled. If you are into optimization and have affinity with systems and control, then this might be an
interesting internship for you.
Other than the above, we do not have other (well-defined) vacancies. However, we are always looking for graduate students or interns that want to have an impact with their research or
project. So if you want to join Dexter on such temporary base, click the 'apply for a job' button and tell us who you are.
> You can work effectively in a team as well as independently. You can work out things on your own when needed, but know when a team brings better results
than when working individually.
> You are driven to do something meaningful and have intrinsic motivation.
> You are result-driven.
> You can deal with highs and lows as this is part of a start-up life.
We are a clean-tech start-up based in Amsterdam. Our goal: Create awesome technologies that accelerate the energy transition. We do that by using ML software to create services to energy
retailers and large-scale energy-related asset managers.
We are still small and agile and aim for scalable stuff. We believe that our clients find our personal and custom-made approach vital. This means lots of responsibility, a can-do-mentality and
often build something that you haven’t done before.
We are very ambitious. And we like to play. We encourage you to plan work around the hobbies you want to pursuit, and not the other way around.
